In the R-1 and R-2 residential zones, accessory buildings may not be used for agricultural operations or for keeping animals other than household pets, so backyard hens/livestock are effectively not allowed there. The Rural (RR) zone permits agricultural uses, and a hennery or piggery as a main use only subject to terms and conditions set by the Planning Advisory Committee.
