McAdam's Rural Plan limits fences in a required front yard to 0.8m (2.5ft); elsewhere fences can't exceed 1.2m (4ft) in an R (residential) zone or 1.8m (6ft) in other zones. Fences, structures, shrubs or tree foliage can't obstruct sightlines at a street intersection between 0.9m and 3m above grade.
