#### **Schedule**
The utility bills for Water and Sewer are issued four times per year.
#### **FEES AND PAYMENTS FOR WATER AND SANITARY SEWERAGE SERVICES Payments** **(please click here for information on payment options)**
* **Would you like to receive your bill electronically?**
If so, please complete the email consent form and drop it off to the Service Centre at 4 Doyle Drive or fax to 506-357-2266 or email the signed form to [email protected]
* **Pay at Service New Brunswick**
You can now make payments for garbage disposal services and water and sewer services on-line, via **Service New Brunswick secure payment service.** By phone, you can also call SNB TeleServices toll free at 1 888 762-8600 or in person at the nearest Service New Brunswick office.
* **Pay In Person** - Payments for water and sewer services can be made in person at the Service Centre, located at 4 Doyle Drive (front entrance), Monday to Friday between the Hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. The Service Centre payment desk accepts, Cash, Personal Cheques, Debit, Visa and Mastercard. Free parking.
* **Night Deposit Box -**A night deposit box is located at the entrance at the rear of the Municipal Building. Please enclose the remittance portion of your utility bill along with a cheque or money order. Cash should not be used if you are using this method.
* **Pay at the Bank or Online -**Payments can also be made at any one of the five major chartered banks,Omista Credit Union, Service New Brunswick and through on-line banking.
* **Pay with Plastiq** - Payments can be made online for water and sewer with Plastiq for a small service fee. Click here to sign up or pay bill.
* **Pay By Mail -**Payments can be mailed in the form of cheque or money order made payable to "Town of Oromocto," along with the completed bill, to:

#### **Moving**
Whether you are moving out of or into another residence, you are required to pay your final bill. The Town will coordinate the final water/sewer meter reading. For more information regarding your move, contact us at 506-357-4400 **and please select Option #2 for payments**.
#### **Rates and Fees**
The Town of Oromocto and Base Gagetown share a longstanding and unique partnership. One element of this partnership is that the Base Gagetown Water Treatment Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant have been serving the Base and the Town since 1963 and 1954, respectively. In essence, the Base is the Town's water supplier. Council adopted a new rate structure based on the evaluation of its infrastructure needs and the operation and maintenance costs for the next five-year period.
**Water and Sewerage Utilities** in Oromocto are based on water consumption and a fixed service fee billed on a quarterly basis. Our water meters are read manually each quarter, with invoices being created the 1st of February, May, August and November
* **Service Fee**- a quarterly service fee shall be applied to all water and sewer accounts within the Town of Oromocto. A quarterly fee of $112.50 per quarter will be implemented to help offset the maintenance, repairs, and infrastructure replacement costs for the delivery of this service. The implementation schedule will be reviewed and approved annually by Council as part of the budgeting process.
* **Water and Sewerage Rates**
+ **Imperial**
- **Water:** quarterly water rates for imperial water meters - $7.50 per 1000 gallons.
- **Sewerage:** quarterly sewerage rates for imperial water meters - $7.50 per 1000 gallons.
+ **Metric**
- **Water:**quarterly water rates for metric water meters - $1.65 per cubic metre.
- **Sewerage:** quarterly sewerage rates for metric water meters - $1.65 per cubic metre.
+ **Unmetered Properties**
- **Water and Sewerage:** $87.86 quarterly for water and $87.86 quarterly for sewerage.
- **Sewerage Only:**$87.86 quarterly.
* **Temporary Disconnection** - Properties where the owner requests a temporary disconnect from Town water and sewer system will be charged at $50.00 for the disconnection and an additional $100.00 for reconnection.
* **Disconnection** - In instances where a customer of a premise terminates their account with the Town, the service fee shall be charged to the owner of the premises until such times as a new customer applies to the Town for the supply of water.
* **Reconnection** - A charge of $100 will be levied for the reconnection of service(s) discontinued at section 6, excepting sub paragraph (e) of the by-law.
* **Meter Testing** - Any owner may request his meter be tested as follows:
+ By depositing with the Treasurer a fee of $50.00 in partial payment of the test.
+ Where the test indicates the meter is over-registering by more than 4%, the fee paid shall be refunded. The bill for service rendered to such person during that calendar year shall be adjusted accordingly and the cost of testing will be borne by the Town.
* **Special Service Charge**- May be applied where it has been determined by the Town Engineer for the delivery of service that goes beyond the original intent of the by-law.
* **Due Dates** - Water and/or sewerage charges shall be payable each three months, on the first of February, the first day of May, the first day of August, and the first day of November of each year.
* **Arrears** - All quarterly water and sewerage invoices outstanding in part or whole as of the date of the next quarterly water and sewerageinvoice produced for a property will result in termination of water supply to that property without notice to the tenant and/or property owner.
* **Payment of Arrears**- Fees incurred through the provision of water and sewerage services to a property are assigned against and remain attached to that property and the responsibility of the owner until paid in full to the Town.
* **Interest Charges****-**All such charges remaining unpaid for sixty (60) days after they become due and payable shall bear interest at the rate of two percent per month or part of the month until paid.
