TOWN OF KENTVILLE POLICY STATEMENT G33
ANIMAL CONTROL BY-LAW FEES POLICY
1.0 PURPOSE

WHEREAS the Town of Kentville has adopted an Animal Control By-Law;
AND WHEREAS the Municipal Government Act, S.N.S. 1998, c. 18, ss. 172 and 175,
empowers Council to make policies setting and amending the fees to be paid for
licences, permits, approvals, or dog registrations required to be obtained from the Town
or an employee of the Town pursuant to a by-law;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT:
1. This Policy is entitled the "Animal Control By-Law Fees Policy".
2. This Policy applies to the Animal Control By-Law and, where the fees in this
Policy differ from those set out in a By-Law, Recording Resolution, Policy or
Resolution of the Town in effect on the effective date of this Policy, the fee
amounts set out in this Policy shall amend those previously in effect.
3. The amount to be paid to the Town for each of the following licences, permits,
approvals, or dog registrations are set in, or amended to, the respective
amounts shown in the following table:
Animal Control Description of Licence,
By-law Inspection, Permit, Approval or
Subsection Dog Registration
Dog Registration Fee $15.00
4. This Policy shall be effective upon its passage.
