Common Land Use By-law's 'Hobby Farms' provision lets an occupant of a residential (R1) property keep ungulates (e.g. horses, goats) as pets on a lot of at least 1 hectare, in an enclosed accessory structure kept out of the front yard and set back 30.5m (100ft) from rear/side lines.
