Allows backyard chickens on lots smaller than 2 hectares in residential and shoreline residential zones: max 5 chickens per lot, no roosters, coops in the rear yard only and at least 5 m from rear and side lot lines, with coop-space, manure-storage and biosecurity standards. Section 17 limits the by-law to one year from final passage unless extended by amendment.
