## Notice of a Public Meeting Concerning a Zoning By-law Amendment
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Village of Burk's Falls, has received a complete application for a Zoning By-law Amendment to the Village of Burk's Falls General Standards By-law 2012-01 and is issuing this Notice in accordance with Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended.
AND TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Village of Burk's Falls will hold a Public Hearing on the 18t day of August 2026 at 5:00 pm at the Young at Heart Senior Citizen's Club, located at 136 Yonge Street Burk's Falls, Ontario. This Public Meeting will consider a proposed amendment to the Village of Burk's Falls's General Standards By-law No. 2012-01 to permit an apartment building on the subject lands and is being held in accordance with Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, C. P.13.
## Location of Subject Lands
The Zoning By-law Amendment applies to the lands located at Part of Lot 7, Concession 8, geographic Township of Armour, Village of Burk's Falls, as shown on the attached key map.
## Purpose and Effect of the Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment
The Village of Burk's Falls General Standards By-law No. 2012-01 does not permit more than one detached dwelling, semi-detached dwelling, or duplex dwelling on any lot. The purpose and effect of the proposed amendment is to rezone the subject lands to permit the development of multiple apartment units.
The proposed amendment will also include a Holding (H) provision pursuant to Section 36 of the Planning Act, that will not be removed until such time as the technical studies required by the Village have been completed and submitted to the satisfaction of the Village. These studies include (but may not be limited to) servicing, archaeological, environmental, traffic, and geotechnical studies, as per municipal requirements.
