Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2010-100Z (consolidated) defines Short-Term Rental (28 consecutive days or less; excludes hotels, shared housing, boarding houses, commercial tourist facilities, camping grounds, garden suites) and s.4.11.1 permits short-term rental accommodation in any dwelling unit (added by By-law 2024-104Z, amended 2026-45Z). No separate licensing by-law.

Reports council's April 2024 move toward a zoning by-law amendment creating a public short-term-rental registry (not a licence): defines STR as stays under 28 days, requires septic-permit records for private systems; a full licensing program was not recommended by staff.
