BY-LAW 2026-05
BEING A BY-LAW TO ESTABLISH FEES, RENTAL AGREEMENT FORM, AND
POLICY ON THE RENTAL OF
THE HILLIARDTON COMMUNITY HALL TABLES AND CHAIRS
WHEREAS, the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 2001, Part 2 Sec.3 & 4 (58)(c)(g) provides that the
Council of a Municipality may establish a policy for the usage of a Community Recreation
Centre;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
1.
THAT the prescribed fee for rental of the Community Recreation
Centre tables and chairs is set at:
Chairs - $5/Chair
Small Tables - $5/Table
Large Tables - $10/Table
$50 deposit
2.
THAT the user must sign an agreement, attached hereto as "Schedule A" and forming
part of this by-law
3.
THAT this By-Law comes into force and effect upon final passing hereof.

READ A THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED this 18th day of February, 2026.

BY-LAW 2026-05 - SCHEDULE "A"
HILLIARDTON COMMUNITY HALL TABLE AND CHAIR RENTAL AGREEMENT
THE PERSON OR ORGANIZATION SIGNING BELOW AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING
RULES & REGULATIONS FOR TABLES AND CHAIR RENTAL:
1. Arrangements must be made to pick up the tables and/or chairs during business hours or to
pick up a key for the Community Hall if picking up outside of business hours.
2. The rental fee and a $50 deposit must be paid before or when the tables and/or chairs are
picked up.
3. The tables and/or chairs must be returned to the hall by 11:00am the day following the rental
and the key for the hall returned to the Dropbox, located at the front of the building.
4. The Township of Hilliard will not be responsible for items left at the Community Hall.
5. The Renter shall not use the Community Hall and the key is to be used solely for pick up and
drop off of tables and/or chairs.
6. Replacement costs will be charged, to the person/organization signing this Agreement, for
any breakage, damage to the chairs and/or tables, and/or articles missing from hall or premises.
7. The Renter will be responsible that no undue noise or unbecoming behaviour will be allowed
at any time in the premises or in the vicinity of the Hall.
8. Parking is permitted only in the designated parking lot. No vehicles are permitted on the
lawn.
Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in a ban from renting the hall, tables and/or
chairs in the future.
