THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF IROQUOIS FALLS
BY-LAW NO. 3767/24
"Being a by-law to impose Corporate Service Fees and Charges."
Section 391 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, as amended,
authorizes a municipality to impose fees or charges on persons for services
or activities provided or done by or done on behalf of it;
AND WHEREAS Section 398 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, as amended,
provides that fees and charges imposed by a municipality;
WHEREAS
AND WHEREAS the Government of Ontario's Order-in-Council 1413/08 states that the
maximum fees to be charged for the issuing of a charitable gaming lottery
license shall be prescribed by the Registrar of Alcohol and Gaming;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Iroquois Falls deems it
necessary to adopt user fees and service fees or charges.
NOW THEREFORE, COUNCIL FOR THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
IROQUOIS FALLS ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1.
That the user fees and service fees or charges be set as per Schedule "A".
2.
That interest for unpaid amounts owing to fees and charges shall be imposed at the rate
of 1.25 percent, per month, of the amount in default.
3.
That the treasurer may add the fees and charges imposed by the municipality to the tax
roll of the property to which all the owners are responsible for paying the fees and
charges.
4.
This by-law shall repeal all by-laws User Fees and Charges.
5.
This by-law shall be deemed to come into effect February 1st, 2024.
