# Dog Licence
Licensing your dog gives you peace of mind. A dog licence enables the **By-law Enforcement Department** to contact you quickly and easily in the event that your dog wanders away from you or your property or is injured on the road.
The **Animal Control By-law** requires that all dogs over the age of 6 months be licensed. You need to complete a **Dog Licence Application** to register your dog.

You can register your pet:
* In person at the Town Office
* Email completed for to [email protected]. If you are paying by e-transfer please send payment to [email protected]. Etransfer MUST include, name, property address, what etransfer is for. Ex: "Lifetime Dog Tag Licence" and the security answer must be "Kearney". If any of the above information is missing, the etransfer will NOT be accepted.
If you have a dog licence and your pet has passed away, you have moved or you no longer have the dog please let us know by emailing **Administration** so that we can update your dog licence record.
