By-law 20-2021 requires a swimming pool enclosure permit ($100 fee) and a compliant enclosure for any privately owned outdoor pool with a water depth potential exceeding 18 inches; hot tubs, whirlpools and spas with a securely fixed lockable cover are excluded. The enclosure must be at least 60 inches high and of close-boarded, chain link or other approved climb-resistant design,
