# Garbage Collection
Garbage is collected weekly on Tuesday or Friday. Please refer to the schedule in your collection calendar to determine which day your garbage will be collected.
* Place garbage collection out the night before pickup day.
* A maximum of six (6) bags can be placed out for collection each week.
* Each container must weigh no more than 45 pounds.
Report a Garbage Collection Issue
If your garbage is not collected (excluding non-collectable items), please contact GFL Environmental Inc. at 519-944-8009. They are contracted by the Town of LaSalle for garbage collection.
Large items and furniture
Will be picked up on your regularly scheduled garbage day (with the exception of metal items and appliances).
Items such as box springs, mattresses, couches, chairs, and similar materials can be put out on any regular garbage day. Please call GFL Environmental Inc. at 519-944-8009 to advise you have a large item for pick up.
Natural Christmas tree drop-off
LaSalle residents are reminded that natural Christmas trees will not be collected with regular garbage. Drop off natural Christmas trees to the designated areas.
These trees are chipped into mulch for town projects, and are also used on Fighting Island for natural regeneration. Trees will be picked up from these locations into February:
* River Canard Park (Malden Rd.)
* LaSalle Landing (Front Rd.)
* Optimist Park (Victory St.)
* Heritage Park (Heritage Dr.)
* Vince Marcotte Park (LaSalle St. and Normandy Rd.)
* Public Works Building (Judy Recker Cres.)
Items considered non-collectable waste
Waste that is deemed non collectable includes:
* ammunition
* animal carcasses
* animal waste
* appliances
* automotive parts
* bricks
* combustibles
* chemical waste
* computer equipment
* concrete
* construction and demolition waste
* explosives
* industrial waste
* liquid waste
* medical waste
* metal items
* pallets
* paint products
* propane tanks
* renovation debris
* syringes
* televisions
* tires
