# Business Licensing and Permits
All businesses operating within the Town of Marathon including stationary, mobile, and home-based **must be licensed** to operate legally. Business licensing helps ensure the safety of our residents and your customers.
##### New! Mobile Food Vehicle Licensing
At the Regular Meeting of Council on **March 24, 2025**, Council approved amendments to the Business License By-law to include Mobile Food Vehicles.
As a result, additional information is now required before a license can be issued.
**Food Vehicle License Fees:**
Annual Fee - Resident: $500.00
Annual Fee - Non-Resident: $1,000.00

If you are a current business provider and need to complete your annual renewal, you can complete online via the button below.
**Note:** As of **January 2024**, the Town will no longer issue yearly stickers. Once your renewal is complete, your new licence will be **emailed to you immediately**.
