# Garbage and Recycling
**RECYCLING**
Beginning on January 1, 2026 the Township's recycling program will be managed by Circular Materials. GFL will be picking up the Recycling every other Mondays beginning on January 12, 2026. Recycling Cart's are to be at the road by 7:00 a.m. If you have any questions regarding recycling, please call 1-888-220-4352 or email [email protected] or visit their website at www.gflenv.com/canadarecycles.
**LANDFILL**
Upon accessing the landfill site, it will be mandatory to stop and see the Landfill Attendant. The Landfill Attendant will provide you with a receipt and advise you on the appropriate location to dispose of your refuse.
Residential property proprietors will be allowed to obtain two vouchers per property per calendar year. Municipal staff must be presented with proof of property ownership to obtain your voucher. For example, a recent tax statement that includes your name and address will suffice.
Owners of multi-residential properties may authorize an individual, such as a tenant, to retrieve the voucher. Authorization letters must be submitted to the Department of Development Services; confirmation between staff and the proprietor will be conducted prior to the issuance of a voucher
## Garbage
* Garbage collection is every Thursday with a limit of 4 bags.
* Please have your garbage at the road by 8:00 am.
* All garbage MUST be bagged in regular garbage bags.
* Garbage not bagged properly, too heavy to lift (more then 40 lbs) or that breaks open will be left behind.
## Recycling
-Recycling collection is every other Monday beginning January 12, 2026.
-Please have your recycling at the road by 7:00 am.
-Use your Recycling cart and ensure that all recyclables are included in the cart to enable efficient collection of recycling material.
-If you have any questions regarding the Recycling, please call: GFL 1-888-220-4352 or email [email protected].
-Set your recycling cart so that the wheels are away from the curb and ensure they are at least 3 feet in front of or beside fences or vehicles.
-Place your cart on a flat surface clear of any snow and ice.
-Separate recycling from garbage and organics.

Thursday 12:00 (noon) to 7:00pm
Saturday 9:00am to 4:00pm
October 1 to April 30
Thursday 12:00 (noon) to 4:00pm
Saturday 9:00am to 4:00pm
**Waste Site Pass**
Waste site passes are no longer be valid as our landfill has implemented tipping fees as of July 1st 2025.
Landfill may be closed in adverse weather conditions. Please check Public Notices Page for any updates.
