THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF MISSISSIPPI MILLS
NO. 15-10
BEING a by-law to impose rates for administrative and processing costs for the treatment of hauled
liquid sewage wastes.
WHEREAS under Sections 391 of the Municipal Act, 2001 (S.O. 2001, c.25), a municipality may
pass by-laws imposing fees or charges on any class of persons for services or activities provided by
it.
AND WHEREAS the Town of Mississippi Mills' provides services to the public and deems it
expedient to impose costs to cover the associated operational expenses;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Mississippi Mills enacts as
follows:
1.
This By-law shall be short-titled: "Hauled Sewage Waste Fees and Rates By-law".
2.
That Schedule "A" attached to this by-law be read with and forms part of this by-law.
3.
That the disposal charges imposed for liquid sewage wastes generated within the Town of
Mississippi Mills (Schedule A, items 3 and 4) shall be adjusted annually, without amendment
to this by-law, on the anniversary date of this by-law, in accordance with the 2010 Septage
Business Plan, dated February 5, 2010 by Watson & Associates Economists Ltd.

That all other charges imposed pursuant to this by-law (Schedule A, items 1, 2 and 5) shall
be adjusted annually, without amendment to this by-law, on the anniversary date of this by-
law in accordance with the Non Residential Construction Price Index published by Statistics
Canada;
5.
That this by-law comes into force and effect on the date of its passing.
6.
By-law No. 14-03 is hereby repealed as of the date and time of this by-law coming into
effect.
