THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY
OF OLIVER PAIPOONGE
BY-LAW NO. 40 - 2024
A By-law to establish a tariffoffeespayable to the Corporation of
the Municipality ofOliver Paipoonge for costs incurred by the
Corporation in the processing ofdocuments.
WHEREAS the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, authorizes a municipality to impose
fees or charges on persons for services or activities provided or done by or on behalf of it;
for costs payable by it for services or activities provided or done by or on behalf of any
other municipality or any local board;
AND WHEREAS various other statutes that govern municipalities also provide similar
authority;
AND WHEREAS
these fees may be adjusted from time to time in accordance with the
annual budget process, the introduction of new or different services and the evolution of
existing process and services;
AND WHEREAS the Corporation considers that the consolidation of all or most of its
fees and charges into one by-law is bene?cial for users of services for which fees and
charges are levied;
AND WHEREAS Report No. 2023.29 was presented to Council on March 1, 2023,
advising of the need to update By-law 06-2023 to include the fee for special events
permits that are not re?ected
in the current tariff of fees;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF OLIVER PAIPOONGE HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS
THAT the document attached hereto and marked as Schedule "A" authorizes
the tariff of fees for the processing of documents related to planning
applications and ?re and emergency
serv1ces.
2. THAT the Mayor and Chief Administrative Of?cer/Clerk be authorized to
execute the By-law on behalf of the Corporation of the Municipality of Oliver
Paipoonge.
3. THAT By-Law Nos. 13-2023 is hereby repealed.
4. THAT this by-law shall come into force and take effect upon the ?nal reading
thereof.
Enacted and passed this 29'"day of May, AD. 2024 as witnessed by the Seal of the Corporation
and the hands of its proper Of?cers.
