No person may destroy or injure any tree with a diameter at breast height greater than 5 centimetres anywhere in the City without first obtaining a permit from the General Manager. The permit requirement does not apply to trees on any lot 0.5 hectare or less in area - which exempts most residential lots - nor to maintenance pruning, trees
