All Residential and Multi-Residential Properties are billed on a quarterly basis, while the Large Industrial and Institutional Properties are billed monthly. The billing is made up of the following components: 1. All properties are billed for water based on the number of cubic meters consumed within the quarter. 2. To cover the cost of wastewater collection and treatment services, all properties that are connected to Municipal sewers are billed a sewer surcharge, which is a percentage charge based on the water consumption. 3. In addition, the bill consists of a flat water charge and a flat sewer charge (if the connection to the Municipal Sewer is available) regardless of any water being consumed. * 2026 Water & Sewer Rates * 2025 Water & Sewer Rates * 2024 Water & Sewer Rates * 2023 Water & Sewer Rates * 2022 Water & Sewer Rates * 2021 Water & Sewer Rates * 2020 Water & Sewer Rates * 2019 Water & Sewer Rates * 2018 Water & Sewer Rates * 2017 Water & Sewer Rates * 2016 Water & Sewer Rates * 2015 no change * 2014 Water & Sewer Rates * 2013 Water & Sewer Rates * 2012 Water & Sewer Rates * 2011 Water & Sewer Rates * 2010 Water & Sewer Rates * 2009 Water & Sewer Rates * 2008 Water & Sewer Rates #### Responsibility for Consumption Owners are reminded that all water that passes through their meter is their responsibility. Any unpaid charges will be added to the property's tax account.* *Landlords who would like tenants to receive and manage the property's utility bills may choose one of two methods to ensure tenants receive the quarterly utility bills:* * ***Landlord******-******managed delivery*** *- Landlords may create an iCity Online Portal account and link their utility billing account(s) to receive PDF bills by email. These electronic copies can then be forwarded to tenants for payment.* * ***Tenant******-******managed access*** *- Landlords can provide tenants with the property's Utility Billing Access Code allowing tenants to create their own iCity Online Portal account and view quarterly utility bills directly whenever needed.* *Both options ensure tenants receive accurate billing information in a timely manner and help ensure payments are made promptly.* ***Please Note:** As the property owner, landlords are encouraged to also create an iCity Online Account in addition to providing tenants with the Access Code to create their own. Once an iCity Online Account has been created, paper copies of the quarterly utility bills will no longer be mailed.* ## Quick Links PDF Help Guide ICity Portal: View and/or Pay ## Property Assessment and Tax Sales ## Understanding your Property Taxes ## Quick Links PDF Help Guide ICity Portal: View and/or Pay #### **Town of Penetanguishene** 10 Robert Street West, Penetanguishene, ON L9M 2G2 T: 705-549-7453 F: 705-549-3743 ### Jennifer Rollo Cashier/ Utility Accounting Clerk * 705-549-7453 * [email protected]
