TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST
BY-LAW 58-2025
BEING A BY-LAW TO ESTABLISH AND REQUIRE PAYMENT OF VARIOUS FEES
AND CHARGES FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE MUNICIPALITY UNDER THE
MUNICIPAL ACT, 2001
AND A BY-LAW TO REPEAL BY-LAW 64-2024
DECEMBER 02, 2025
WHEREAS Section 11(2)7 of the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, c.25, as amended
authorizes municipalities to pass by-laws for services and things that the municipality is
authorized to provide; and
WHEREAS Section 391(1) of the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, c.25, as amended,
authorizes municipalities to impose fees or charges for services or activities provided or
done by or on behalf of it; and
WHEREAS Council of the Corporation of the Township of Perth East deems it
expedient to establish fees and charges for the Municipality;
NOW THEREFORE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF
PERTH EAST HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

THAT the fees and charges set out in the attached Schedule "A", "B", "C", "D",
"E", "F", "G", "H", "I", "J" and "K" shall become applicable January 1, 2026.

UNCLAIMED DEPOSITS - Where a deposit remains unclaimed by the permit holder for a period of five years,
the Township Treasurer may, at the request of the Chief Building Official, transfer to the general funds of the
Township all deposits against which no claim has been made, free from any further claims. Reports prepared
by the Township pursuant to subsection 7(4) of the Building Code Act, 1992 will take account the transfer of
unclaimed deposits to general funds within the previous year.

property gets charged for the 35 gallon bin unless opted for a larger bin regardless of
taking a bin or not.
