BY-LAW NO. 4029-7
A By-law to amend the Water and Sewer By-law with respect to Rates Charged
WHEREAS, The Ontario Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25, as amended, confers
broad authority on the municipality to enable the municipality to govern its affairs as it
considers appropriate and further states that a lower tier municipality may provide any
service or thing that the municipality considers necessary or desirable for the public,
subject to the rules set out in subsection 11 (4). 2006, c. 32, Sched. A, s. 8.
AND WHEREAS, Council has reviewed Report 2025-COUNCIL-3.2 and concurs with
the staff recommendation to revise the fixed fee associated with the 3” and 4” dial size
that were incorrectly stated in By-law No. 4029-6.
AND WHEREAS, Public notice of the revisions to water and sewer charges has been
provided.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Council of The Corporation of the
Town of Perth enacts the following:
1. That Water and Sewer By-Law No. 4029-6, Schedule “A”, as amended be
removed in its entirety and replaced with By-Law No. 4029-7 Schedule “A”
attached hereto forming part of the By-Law.
EFFECTIVE DATE:
This By-Law shall come info force and effect on the date it is passed by Council.
Read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 18 day of March,
2025.
