BY-LAW NO. 4029-8
A BY-LAW TO AMEND THE WATER AND SEWER BY-LAW WITH RESPECT TO
RATES CHARGED
WHEREAS, The Ontario Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 20017, c.25, as amended,
confers broad authority on the municipality to enable the municipality to govern its
affairs as it considers appropriate and further states that a lower tier municipality
may provide any service or thing that the municipality considers necessary or
desirable for the public, subject to the rules set out in subsection 11 (4). 2006, c. 32,
Sched. A, s. 8.
AND WHEREAS, The Committee of the Whole has reviewed Report 2026-
COW-3.5 and concurs with the staff recommendation to increase water and sewer
charges by 6%.
AND WHEREAS, Public notice of the revisions to water and sewer charges has
been provided.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Council of The Corporation of the
Town of Perth enacts the following:
1. That Water and Sewer By-Law No. 4029 is hereby further amended by
removing Schedule “A”, in its entirety and replacing it with Schedule “A”
attached hereto and forming part of this By-Law.
Effective Date:
This By-Law shall come info force and effect on the date it is passed by Council.
Read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 24 _ day of ManGh _.
