In the Township of Prince, Ontario, dogs & animal control rules are set by By-law 2024-04 Licensing of Dogs (dog tags, registration, running at large of dogs and cats), verified 2026-10-26. Fines: $15.00 late renewal penalty; fines of $50.00, $100.00, $150.00, $200.00, $250.00, $300.00, $400.00, $500.00, $5000.00. A licence is required. Licence fee: $10.00 neutered/spayed; $20.00 unaltered; one-half the yearly license fee if owner after July 1; free for guide dog/hearing ear dog.
