The Township of Puslinch requires every owner of a kennel to licence their kennel with the Township in accordance with the Kennel and Dog Licencing By-law. All Kennels must comply with the Kennel and Dog Licencing By-law.
Before submitting an application contact [email protected] to ensure your property is zoned to permit a Kennel.

**Note all Kennels are subject to inspection in accordance with the Kennel and Dog Licensing By-law.**

Potential Noise Study Requirements for New and Expanded Kennels
* I am acknowledging that I understand for Kennel or expansion applications, I may be required, at the discretion of the Township, to submit a noise study from a qualified acoustical consultant demonstrating that predicted noise will not cause exceedances of environmental noise guidelines from stationary sources as published by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks with any associated costs borne by the Owner..
Inspection Requirement Acknowledgement \*
* I am acknowledging that I understand in the case of a new Kennel or an expansion (either in area or in number of Dogs), a site inspection shall be required within 30 days of the issuance of the license to confirm that the Kennel was constructed in accordance with the site plan and meets all other requirements of this By-law. Failure by the Owner to allow for such an inspection shall be grounds for revocation of the License.

* I confirm that I previously was a Licensee in Good Standing in the calendar year immediately prior to applying for a Retiring Kennel Licence
* I understand that all commercial activities (including boarding, breeding and training, etc.) have ceased
* I understand that the number of dogs will not increase, which shall be demonstrated by a sworn declaration to that affect
* I understand that no more than ten (10) dogs will be harboured on the property
* I understand that, a Retiring Kennel License shall only be permitted for a maximum of 5 years
* I understand that, the Licensee of a Retiring Kennel shall be subjected to annual inspections to ensure that no commercial activities have resumed
