### St. Clair Township Honours Legacy of John DeMars with Bridge Dedication

Family members, St. Clair Township officials, and Heritage St. Clair members gathered Oct. 11, 2026 for the John DeMars Bridge Dedication. Representatives from St. Clair Township Council, the Heritage St. Clair Committee, along with friends, family and community members recently gathered in Port Lambton to mark the dedication of the John Herbert DeMars Memorial Bridge.

At its regular meeting on Monday, October 5, St. Clair Township Council: Heard from residents regarding the property at West Ward Line and St. Clair Parkway, and directed staff to investigate the cost and feasibility of repairing the street-end at that location. Approved the temporary closure of Lyndoch Street from Beckwith Street to Bunker Ave.
