USER FEES & SERVICE CHARGES
BY-LAW-NUMBER 1800 -SCHEDULE "I"
AS AMENDED BY BY-LAW 2638
The following Fees apply to non-compliance matters concerning Property Remediation, the Zoning By-
law, the Signage By-law, the Animal Care and Control By-law and any other applicable By-laws where
compliance is required, in the Town of Thessalon.

There is no fee for the initial site inspection in which non-compliance is found.
*Includes the inspection required by the Officer for Non-Compliance after an Order to Comply Letter has
been issued to the Land Owner/Offending Party. This Fee is imposed should voluntary compliance not be
achieved by the deadline stipulated in the Order to Comply Letter.
**This fee is imposed for every subsequent return to site Inspection that is required, should compliance
not be achieved by the deadline stipulated in the Order to Comply Letter(s). Return to site re-inspections
are warranted for all general non-compliance matters including those pertaining to public health, safety
and security.
***This fee is immediately imposed when the above site inspection fees are levied; this fee will be
reapplied annually until compliance is met.
Please Note:
1. All the above fees will be directly added to the property tax account of the inspected property.
2. The above fees are in addition to any set fines that may be issued per the applicable By-law.
