| ' CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TWEED
| | BY-LAW NO. 2002-32
| _ Being a By-Law to prohibit or regulate within the Municipality of Tweed noises likely to
_ disturb the inhabitants thereof. |
| WHEREAS Section 210, Subsection 138 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M.45 provides
| that a Council may pass by-laws for prohibiting or regulating, within the municipality or within |
| any defined area or areas thereof, noises likely to disturb the inhabitants; '
a _ NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Municipality of Tweed enacts as follows: |
| | | 1. That no person or corporation shall cause, permit or allow within the Municipality of !
: | Tweed, between the hours of 12:01 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., any noise likely to disturb the i
i inhabitants thereof. |
2. That the time referred to in this by-law shall be Eastern Standard Time when the time in
effect or commonly observed in the Municipality of Tweed is Eastern Standard Time; |
when the time in effect or commonly observed in the Municipality of Tweed is other /
| than Eastern Standard Time, the time referred to in this by-law shall be reckoned in |
| accordance with the time so commonly observed or in effect in the Municipality of |
Tweed and not Eastern Standard Time. |
| | 3. That any person or corporation who contravenes any of the provisions of this by-law is
guilty of an offence and shall, upon conviction thereof, be liable for a fine as provided :
| under the provisions of the Provincial Offences Act, and such penalty shall be | ,
| recoverable pursuant to the provisions of the Provincial Offences Act, R.S.O. 1990. | |
i 4. That this By-Law shail come into force and take effect immediately upon the passing
i thereof by the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Tweed. /
