The water and wastewater rates support the operating costs associated to water and wastewater delivery. A significant portion of the operating cost is attributed to charges from York Region related to providing safe drinking water to Stouffville residents and the treatment of wastewater. The 2026 water and wastewater rates are: ### Water & wastewater rates ### Water per cubic meter $2.76 ### Wastewater per cubic meter $3.49 ### Total - water + wastewater per cubic meter $6.25 ### Stormwater rates ### Residential per billing quarter $9.50 ### Commercial per billing quarter $36.50 Stormwater fees fund the maintenance and replacement of our stormwater network. Our stormwater system protects our community and the environment from the harmful effects of stormwater runoff such as erosion, flooding and poor water quality. 2000 - 2025 Water and Wastewater Rates ### Water Bill Charges The Capital Infrastructure Fee stays the same for each billing period.
