BYLAW NO. 2025-03
A BYLAW TO SET THE FEES FOR WATER AND SEWER CONSUMPTION
The Council of the Town of Hague, in the Province of Saskatchewan enacts as follows:

For the purpose of this bylaw the expression:
(a) “Municipality” shall mean the Town of Hague.
The Municipality shall set fees for the consumption of water and sewer within the
municipality.
If the water is shut off from the premises of a consumer for infringement of a provision of
this bylaw, the same shall not be turned on until all penalties, fees, rates, charges and
arrears have been paid.
Water meters shall be read or estimated monthly and will be billed monthly.
The charges to be paid by the water consumer whose water service has been turned on
shall be those set forth in Schedule “A” attached, or as amended from time to time.
Persons who own or occupy premises drained or that are, by bylaw, required to be
drained into the sewer shall pay for such services as a rental rate or service charge in
accordance with Schedule “B” attached.
Accounts for water services and/or sewer services shall cover a period of one month and
shall be rendered on or before the 5th day of the month following such period. A
$200.00 deposit fee shall accompany all utility applications.
All new service connections shall be subject to the current Sask Water connection fee plus
a $100.00 administration fee.
Accounts shall be paid within a period of fifty (50) days from the date on which such
accounts are rendered. If an account is not paid within the said period of fifty days, the
water service shall be cut off without notice, and not resumed until all arrears have been
paid, together with a fee of $40.00 to cover the expense of turning off the water and
turning it on again. If the public works department is required to turn on the said water
services outside the department’s regular working hours, the fee shall be $75.00.
Bylaw No. 2019-03 is hereby repealed.
9. The rates, charges, tolls or rents contained in this bylaw shall come into force and take
effect on the day of approval being issued by the Local Government Committee or April
Ist, 2025, whichever is the latter.
