## VILLAGE OF LAKE LENORE
## BYLAW NO. 2/2007
## A BYLAW OF THE VILLAGE OF LAKE LENORE BEING A BYLAW TO REGULATE THE WEIGHT AND/OR DIMENSIONS OE VEHICLES.
The Council of the Village of Lake Lenore in the Province of Saskatchewan enacts as follows:
1. No person shall operate a vehicle or a combination of vehicles when the combined gross weight of the vehicle(s) with or without a load exceeds 4,500 kg. except on a highway within the municipality designated as a Heavy Vehicle Route as listed in Appendix 1.
2. Subject to section (1), no person shall operate a vehicle or combination of vehicles when the combined gross weight of the vehicle(s) with or withou a load, exceeds the maximum allowable weight pursuant to the Vehicle Weight and Dimension Regulations, 1999 or any subsequent amendments thereto, on any highway within the municipality.
3. No person shall operate a vehicle or a combination of vehicles when the overall length exceeds the maximum allowable dimension pursuant to the Vehicle Weight and Dimension Regulations, 1999 or any subsequent amendments thereto, on any highway within the municipality.
4. Sections 1, 2, and 3 shall not apply to the following vehicles provided the operator of the vehicle uses the most direct route from and : to the Heavy Vehicle Route, as listed in Appendix 1:
- b) any person operating a vehicle that is proceeding to or from a garage, shop or repair depot for the purpose of repairs or services;
- a) any person operating a vehicle making delivery on any highway in the muncipality
- c) any person operating an emergency vehicle or a service vehicle owned by the municipality;

- d) any person operating a vehicle that is proceeding to or from the town business premises or the town residence of the owner or driver of such vehicle.
5. Notwithstanding section (4), the operator of the vehicle(s) is responsible for any road damage caused when making such delivery.
6. The provisions of The Police Act and The Highways and Transportation Act, 1997 shall apply to the operators of vehicles referred to in sections 1, 2, 3, and 4.
7. Any person who contavenes the provisions of this bylaw is guilty of an offense and liable on summary conviction to a penalty a provided for in the General Penalty Bylaw of the manicipality.
