Bylaw 02/2015
Bylaw to Prevent the Ploughing and Encumbering of Roads
The Council for the Resort Village of Pelican Pointe
of the Province of Saskatchewan enact as follows:
1. For the purpose of this bylaw :
a. plough - shall mean any implement used for the breaking of soil and or for snowplowing
b. trench - a long excavation for the purpose of re-routing water run-off
c. Municipality - shall mean the RV of Pelican Pointe
d. Road - shall mean may road allowance within the municipality other than:
I.
a private road
II.
a provincial road
2. No person shall plough or trench any road or portion thereof within the limits of the
municipality
3. No person shall encumber any road in the municipality with a vehicle, building or other article or
thing
4. Notwithstanding Clause 2, municipal employees and other persons authorized to plough roads
in the municipality shall be exempt from the provisions of this bylaw
5. Any person found guilty of an infraction of any of the provision of this bylaw shall be liable to
the penalties provided in the general penalty bylaw of this municipality
6. This bylaw shall come into force on the day it receives third reading. Read a third time and
adopted this 10th day of September, 2015.
