TOWN OF PILOT BUTTE
BYLAW NO. 15-2024
A BYLAW OF THE TOWN OF PILOT BUTTE TO ESTABLISH UTILITY RATES FOR
WATER AND SEWER SERVICE FOR OUT OF TOWN USERS.
COUNCIL of the Town of Pilot Butte, in the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:
1. The charges to be paid by the Recipient of water and sewer water service shall be those
set out in Schedule "A" attached.
2. Pilot Butte shall provide the Recipient with monthly invoices on the 1S business day of each
month for the supply of treated water provided the previous month. The Recipient shall
pay the amount of each invoice within thirty (30) days from the date on which the invoice is
issued.
3. Any amounts remaining unpaid beyond thirty (30) days following the date the invoice is
provided pursuant to paragraph 2 will bear interest at a rate of 2% per month, calculated
and compounded monthly (or 26.82% calculated annually) from the date the invoice was
issued until payment is received by Pilot Butte.
4. If any amount remains unpaid for more than ninety (90) days following the date on which
an invoice is provided pursuant to the following clause in the Agreement:
Ether party may terminate this agreement for cause, provided the party seeking
to terminate for cause has firet given the other party notice in writing of the
breach complained of, and sixty (60) days from delivery of the notice to comect
saki breach, failing which the party providing the notice may terminate this
agreement and seek recovery of any damages flowing from the breach of the
defaulting parly thereafter.
Pilot Butte may, in addition to these rights, sue for the overdue and outstanding
amounts owing including principle, interest and its costs to recover same ona
solicitor/client basis.
5. Inthe event of any discrepancies between the meter reading from the meter located at
Pilot Butte’s delivery point and the meter located at the entry point of the Recipient
municipality's limits, the meter located at Pilot Butte’s delivery point shall be deemed the
correct reading.

6. This bylaw shall conform to agreements made between the Town of Pilot Butte and the
Out of Town Recipient for water and sewer service. Where there is a discrepancy between
the Bylaw and the Agreement, the Agreement shall take precedence.
7. The rates, charges, tolls or rents contained in this bylaw shall come into force and take
effect on the day of approval being issued by the Local Government Committee.
8. This bylaw repeals and replaces Bylaw 8-2023

1. OUT OF TOWN MONTHLY WATER RATES
A. Balgonie:
Base rate plus consumption per cubic metre
Base rate of $202,891/year charged as a monthly rate of $16,906.75
Pius consumption rate per cubic metre or part thereof $ 1.5208
For a combined monthly charge.
Consumption rate will be recalculated annually according to Schedule B of the Balgonie water
agreement.

That the Committee approve the water rates as contained in the
Town of Pilot Butte’s Bylaw No. 15-2024 in accordance with
subsection 23(3) of The Municipalities Act.
