Can I keep chickens, bees, or livestock on my property?
In the City of Regina, Saskatchewan, backyard hens & livestock rules are set by City of Regina Animal Bylaw No. 2009-44 and 1 other bylaw, verified 2026-09-27. Livestock rule: No person shall keep livestock in any area of the City except public agricultural exhibition/exposition, agricultural fair, or City weed control. Setback: no closer than 5 metres from a dwelling unit located on an adjacent property. Max hens: 90 birds total (pigeons, racing pigeons or show pigeons); no more than 50 over one month.
