## Rural Municipality of Glen McPherson No. 46 Bylaw No. 04-2022 ## A BYLAW RESPECTING SMOKING AND VAPING Whereas it has been determined that second-hand tobacco smoke, second-hand vaping fumes/vapour and side-stream smoke from idling cigarettes, cigars and pipes is a health hazard and causes discomfort for the inhabitants of the Rural Municipality of Glen McPherson No. 46; And whereas it is desirable for the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the Rural Municipality of Glen McPherson No. 46 to regulate smoking in the Rural Municipality of Glen McPherson as is more particularly set out in this Bylaw; Now therefore, the Council of the R.M. of Glen McPherson No. 46 in the Province of Saskatchewan enacts as follows: 1. No person shall smoke in any portion of the office building, the shop or equipment of the Rural Municipality of Glen McPherson No. 46. - a. The Administrator of the R.M. of Glen McPherson No. 46 shall prominently display smoking prohibited signs. 2. Where a sign is required to be displayed pursuant to this Bylaw, the sign is to: - a. Contain: - i) The words "No Smoking/Vaping" 6. ii) The international symbol for no smoking. - b. Contain at the bottom of the signs, the words, "No Smoking or Vaping Bylaw No. 042022"; and - c. Be of a size and displayed in such a manner that a person may determine without difficulty whether the area is a no smoking or smoking permitted area. 3.
