## Bylaw No. 1 - 05
## A BYLAW TO REGULATE THE SPEED OF MOTOR VEHICLES
The Council of the Rural Municipality of Lakeside No. 338, in the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:
- 1.
- (a) "public highway" shall have the meaning ascribed to it by The Highways and Transportation Act, 1983-84, but shall not include a provincial highway as designated pursuant to such Act;
- (b) "motor vehicle" shall have the meaning ascribed to it by The Highway Traffic Act.
2. No person shall operate a motor vehicle at a greater speed than 50 kilometres per hour on that portion of the public highway adjacent to the Quill Lake Colony described as follows: between NW 12 and SW 13 in 35-16 W2.
3. No person shall operate a motor vehicle at a greater speed than 90 kilometres per hour on that portion of the public highway west of Highway No. 6 described as follows: North of 7-35-18 W2.
3. Signs indicating the maximum speed allowed shall be erected at the commencement of the speed zone areas and signs shall be erected showing the end of the speed zone areas.
4. Any person who contravenes any of the provisions of this bylaw is guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to the penalties provided in the general penalty bylaw of this municipality.
5. Bylaw No. 5-02 is hereby repealed.
