## RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF PLEASANTDALE NO. 398 BYLAW NO. 02 - 2022 ## A Bylaw to Regulate the Operations of Overweight Vehicles on Municipal Roads The Council of the Rural Municipality of Pleasantdale No. 398, in the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows: 1. That pursuant to Section 18 of The Municipalities Act, the municipality shall adopt the following system to regulate vehicle weights and routes designations within the municipality. 2. All vehicles operating in the municipality, unless otherwise exempted, shall not exceed the prescribed or ordered "Secondary Highways" weights as determined by The Highways and Transportation Act, 1997 and applicable regulations. 3. The municipality may allow person operating within the municipality to haul divisible loads of agricultural commodities by the shortest route. 4. Persons wishing to haul loads above, "secondary" weights shall follow signage as posted within the municipality. 5. No movement of overweight vehicles shall be permitted during adverse road and weather conditions. 6. The onus will be on the hauler to endeavor to utilize the shortest route possible to a primary weight corridor to transport commodities. - b. Provincial road bans supersede these permits. 8. Any person or company who contravenes any provision of this Bylaw is guilty of an offence.
