## RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF VISCOUNT NO. 341 BYLAW NO. 2022-04
## A BYLAW TO REGULATE THE SPEED OF CERTAIN MOTOR VEHICLES ON CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE SPECIAL SERVICE AREA OF PLUNKETT, WITHIN THE RURAL MUNCIPALITY OF VISCOUNT
THE COUNCIL OF THE RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF VISCOUNT NO. 341, in the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:
1. This bylaw shall be known as and referred to as the "Plunkett Speed Limit Bylaw".
2. In this bylaw:
- b. "municipal road" means a public highway or municipally owned roadway that is under the direction, management and control of the municipality.
- a. "municipality" means the Rural Municipality of Viscount No. 341
- c. "public highway" means a road allowance or a road, street or lane vested in or owned by the province including anything erected on or in connection with the public highway;
- d. "roadway" means that part of a public highway designed or intended for use by vehicles, but does not include a trail designated under The Snowmobile Act or any other trail or path for which a permit is required.
3. No person shall operate a vehicle a speed greater than forty (40) km per hour on any municipal road or public highway within the limits of the Special Services Area of Plunkett.
4. Section 3 shall not apply to the operators of emergency vehicles, in the case of an emergency.
5. Signs indicating the maximum speed shall be erected at the commencement of the speed zone area.
6. Any person who contravenes any of the provisions of this bylaw is guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to the penalties provided in the General Penalty Bylaw of the municipality.
