In the City of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, fences & pool enclosures rules are set by City of Saskatoon Private Swimming Pools Bylaw No. 7981 and 1 other bylaw, verified 2026-09-27. Max height front: 1 metre above grade level. Max height rear side: 2 metres above grade level. Pool enclosure: Every private swimming pool must be enclosed; enclosure minimum height 1.5 m; gates must have self-closing, self-latching, and locking devices.

Private pools need a construction permit and a non-climbable enclosure at least 1.5m high with gaps under 100mm (20mm for board/rod fencing, or standard chain-link mesh); self-closing, self-latching, locked gates are required.
