Zoning By-law defines 'Cottage Rental' as commercial short-term/vacation letting of all or part of a single detached dwelling to the travelling public and permits it as-of-right in a permitted dwelling (max 3 bedrooms combined with a Bed & Breakfast); some exception zones (e.g. R4-285-A) expressly prohibit cottage rental. No municipal STR licence exists yet.

Short Term Accommodations - Registry Program

Municipality does not currently licence STRs; ran a voluntary $50 registry (applications required a Site/Fire Safety Plan, Parking Plan, and Owner Code of Conduct; deadline April 1, 2026, now closed) and plans a formal STR licensing bylaw by 2028.
