A By-law to Amend Development Charges By-law
B2024-027, As Amended
Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Trent Lakes
(hereinafter referred to as "the Council") anticipates that the Corporation of the
Municipality of Trent Lakes (hereinafter called "the Municipality") will experience
additional development, including redevelopment throughout the Municipality in
the next ten years and Council further anticipates that this development will
increase the need for services;
And Whereas Section 19 of the Development Charges Act, 1997 (the "Act")
provides for amendments to be made to development charges by-laws;
And Whereas subsection 19 (1.2) of the Act permits a municipality to amend the
development charges by-law, subject to conditions being met, that do not require
the process for by-law amendments under subsection 19 (1) of the Act to be
followed;
And Whereas the Council of the Municipality of Trent Lakes, enacted and
passed By-law B2024-027 on April 2, 2024; and amended By-law B2024-027
with By-law B2024-084 on November 5, 2024.
Now Therefore the Council of the Municipality of Trent Lakes hereby enacts as
follows:
1. By-law B2024-027, as amended, is hereby amended as follows:
a.) Schedule "A" is deleted and replaced with Schedule "A" attached to
this by-law.
2. This By-law shall come into force and effect on the day it is passed.
