How tall can my fence be? Do I need a fence around my pool?
In the Town of Rosetown, Saskatchewan, fences & pool enclosures rules are set by Town of Rosetown Private Swimming Pool/Hot Tubs Bylaw No. 789-18 and 2 other bylaws, verified 2026-09-27. Max height front: 1.0 metre (3 ft.). Max height rear side: 2.0 metres (6 ft.). Pool enclosure: Enclosure not less than six (6) feet in height, non-climbable exterior surface; all doors/gates locked at all times when pool not in use or under supervision.

Private pools need a non-climbable enclosure at least 6 feet high with gaps under 4 inches and self-locking gates; building permit ($10 fee) required before construction. Hot tubs under 2.4m wide are exempt if fitted with a locked cover.
